The Italian Association for Cancer Research (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro, or AIRC) was founded in 1965 by a group of researchers at the Istituto Tumori in Milan, including Umberto Veronesi and Giuseppe della Porta, with invaluable support from eminent local businesspeople. What AIRC does is to raise funds and give out grants for cancer research, and keep the public up to date on the latest news in this field.
I worked with communication in different fields: culture and arts, transportation, customer rights, NIMBY situations. At the same time, I cultivated my passion for well-being treatments and techniques. Then these two parallel activities merged in one when my traditional communication skills combined with my love (and ability) for talking and listening to people to help them feel better. That's how the events I plan now were born.
